For generations, the name Stage Show (စတိတ်ရှိုး) has carried prestige in Myanmar culture. These stage shows were nights of grandeur—music, elegance, artistry, and unforgettable moments. This year, uab bank elevates that legacy once more, transporting our distinguished VVIP guests into a world beyond time: Shanghai Tan 上海灘.

Old Shanghai—known as the “Paris of the East”—was a city of shimmering neon, jazz-filled streets, hidden luxury, and alluring mystique. uab brings this world to life, blending the heritage of the stage show with the opulence, intrigue, and sophistication of 1930s Shanghai.

Event Recap

On September 20, 2025, Yangon’s Lotte Hotel transformed into Shanghai Old Town, bathed in neon lights, ornate façades, and the nostalgic charm of the 1920s and 30s. Over 1,000 distinguished VVIP guests stepped through a single exclusive entrance—leaving the modern world behind as they entered the captivating streets of Old Shanghai.

Inside, guests were immersed in a world inspired by Old Shanghai—vintage neon lights, iconic signboards, elegant art-deco details, and a stunning LED walkway that set the tone the moment they arrived, bringing the city’s golden era to life.

The night featured exceptional performances by Myanmar’s finest: May, Si Thu Lwin, Thiri Swe, and Sai Sai Kham Leng, the high-energy icon. An electrifying opening performance by M Seng Lu set the momentum, energizing the entire room from the very first beat.

Beyond the performances, guests experienced a true stage show atmosphere shaped by the Shanghai Tan theme—an evening crafted exclusively for uab’s VVIP circle, immersive, luxurious, and filled with unforgettable spectacle.
