Investigations Officer

The selected candidate will be responsible for exceptional customer care through the resolution of investigation related to customer complaints, fraud incidences and other incidences. The candidate will also be involved in developing effective strategies in the prevention of fraud situations at the Bank.

Job responsibilities

  • Investigate, enquire and conduct interviews in resolving a fraud, misappropriation and other cases
  • Conducting fraud risk assessment and prevention efforts in the bank; reviewing the results of preliminary inquiry to determine availability of strong evidence of wrongful conduct or irregularity to undertake comprehensive investigation; conducting especially sensitive and complex interviews and investigation.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance to all rules and regulations of the Bank
  • Develop and implement effective strategies useful in addressing a fraud situation and make timely recommendations.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of trends in financial as well as current techniques employed in detecting fraudulent operations.
  • Preparing relevant reports to the Management and Directors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or professional qualifications in relevant field.
  • 7+ Years of experience in multiple facets of banking and investigation experience in a Bank or financial institutions is preferred
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Excel Application.
  • Strong communication skills: ability to write, present and clearly defend findings and recommendations of investigations;
  • High level of integrity; strong interpersonal, interviewing and team leadership skills;
  • Ability to develop trust and demonstrate fairness; capacity to influence and win the confidence of difficult witnesses;
  • Ability to communicate, read and writing in Myanmar and English
