Yangon, 28th September 2020 – uab bank wishes to announce the temporary closure of its Insein (Pauktawwa) Branch in Yangon and reopening of Kyaut Sit Tan Branch in Mandalay.
Customers of Insein (Pauktawwa) Branch who require service or access to their bank accounts may do so at any uab bank branches in Yangon. We presently have 45 branches in Yangon and please enquire from any of our branches if you require service. Further, our ATMs, Internet Banking and Mobile Banking services continue to be available on a 24-hour basis to all Customers.
A COVID -19 positive finding was reported on one of the Insein (Pauktawwa) Branch employees on 27th September 2020 and the branch will be closed for a short period as a precaution.
Meanwhile, we are pleased to announce that Kyaut Sit Tan Branch in Mandalay will be re-opened and available for service to our Customers.
We are also pleased to announce that six (6) uab bank staff who were earlier found positive have now recovered and are discharged from government quarantine with the permission of MOHS. We wish to thank the doctors, nurses and health authorities for the care provided during their period in quarantine.

Once this pandemic started in March 2020, uab bank activated its Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and formed a Crisis Control Unit (CCU). With this 2nd wave of pandemic, the CCU continues to monitor and evaluate the situation very closely and ensures that the health and safety issues at the Bank is being taken care of.
The Bank is committed to provide essential services to the public. Our services continue to be provided albeit with employees on work from home rotations to reduce risk and contact during this 2nd wave.
