“The Olympic Games is the dream of all great athletes and represent the pinnacle of an athlete’s journey. Since the first modern Olympics in the year 1896, many great athletes globally have competed and brought honour to the countries they represented. Often these athletes lack the support needed to compete on this global platform. At uab bank, we believe in nurturing the future leaders of Myanmar and is extremely honoured and privileged to have this opportunity to support Myanmar badminton rising superstar Thet Htar Thuzar. We admire her grit and perseverance in her training and going against the odds to win tournaments around the world. This journey she is on to qualify for the 2020 Olympics and represent Myanmar is not just a personal fight but one we believe the country should rally behind.
We are excited to be on this journey with Thet Htar Thuzar and congratulates her on her many victories to date. We wish her more successes as she continues forward in pursuing the greatest dream of all athletes – an Olympics medal!”

It truly means a lot to me as it is the pursuit of my personal dream and the chance to represent our country. As an athlete, the Olympics represent the pinnacle of achievement and pushes an athlete to go beyond the limitations of the mind and body. The Olympics is also a chance for our people to come together and cheer for our athletes. As an athlete, qualifying for the Olympics is national pride and a powerful motivation.
