We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as Deputy Head of Transaction Banking. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our mission to excel in the field of transaction banking. Your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities
- Coordinating with the Trade Operation Head & Business Team of Transaction Banking to achieve our strategic goals.
- Developing and implementing trade finance policies and procedures to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
- Providing effective leadership and direction to the trade & transaction team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Regularly reporting on business progress, recommending action plans and activities to optimize performance.
- Attending regulator’s meetings and other relevant operational meetings to stay informed about industry changes and compliance requirements.
- Occasionally joining Relationship Managers (RMs) on sales calls to provide information on changing regulations and enhance customer relationships.
- Fostering team collaboration and staying updated on industry trends to identify opportunities for business growth.
- Assisting the Head of Transaction Banking in overseeing daily department activities, ensuring staff performance aligns with established procedures and code of conduct.
- Presenting business proposals to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Leading initiatives to expand our IMT (International Money Transfer) business through new channels.
- Undertaking other tasks as assigned by Senior Management to support the overall success of the department.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in banking & finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of direct experience in banking, with a strong focus on Trade Finance Business.
- Proficiency in English and at least one additional language, such as Chinese or Thai.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong project management skills.
- A commitment to fostering a collaborative team environment.
