Data Architect
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our team at uab bank. The Data Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the bank’s data architecture. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT team and business stakeholders to ensure that the bank’s data is managed effectively and efficiently.
- Develop and maintain the bank’s data architecture
- Collaborate with the IT team and business stakeholders to identify data requirements and design solutions that meet business needs
- Design and implement data models, data flow diagrams, and data dictionaries
- Develop and maintain data standards, policies, and procedures
- Ensure that data is stored, processed, and analysed in a secure and compliant manner
- Develop and implement data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency
- Identify opportunities to improve the bank’s data architecture and make recommendations to management
- Provide guidance and support to development teams on data-related issues
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of data management tools and technologies
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data architecture and management practices
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role in the banking or financial services industry
- Strong understanding of data modelling, dimensional modelling, data mart & data warehousing
- Experience with various data integration and ETL tools
- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, QlikView etc
- Experience with data governance and management frameworks
- Familiarity with data security and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with cloud-based data management and analytics technology
- Knowledge of big data management and related technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Data Lake etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving, project management and analytical skills
